Dysongs Studio up and running!

Kevin Dyson's vision of a local fully featured recording and training studio became reality last night as the first client Kevin Hockley attended to lay down two more tracks of his unfinished third album.

Kevin Dyson who is one of ActivITy's tutors and partners has been building his studio for the past 13 months. The studio features two of the very latest Dell power PC's, plus 4 laptops and a plethora of high technology musical recording and processing equipment including a Roland VS2480 24 track, Roland VS880 8 track and SP808 4 track digital recorders, effects processors and sound modules by Roland, Yamaha, Digitech, Lexicon and the latest audio, video, web design and graphic design software.

An important function of the studio will be to train ActivITy students in multi media creative techniques and provide one of the most comprehensive teaching aids in the area. It is expected that ActivITy multimedia courses will be starting sometime in January 2007.
