We got the water Bus from the port to St Marks Square 15€ return each, easy.
Very easy to do on your own and much cheaper too, just get water bus (ACTV ones) not the other company as they were not very good. Go into St Marks and you can walk back or get bus to Rialto Bridge.
It's very easy to do Venice on your own. Get off the ship through the port turn left and get the People mover 1.50 euro. Then buy a vaparetto ticket number 21 for about 7 euro and go down the Grand canal with the Italian people. Make sure you get the vaparetto to st. marks square some only go to Rialto We always walk back as the shops are fabulous at St Polo. Look up when you're walking for the signs at the top of the walls and you firstly need to find the sign for Rialto and then Roma where the station is then go over the bridge and back to the people mover which looks like a car park. If you find yourself at the other side which is the Academia just look for Roma. Get off the boat early and enjoy this beautiful city.
