Lafour is committed to providing a safe environment for children where they can creatively learn and develop.
Lafour - Teacher

Lafour teachers are required to be CRB (Criminal Records Bureau) checked, and certification should be renewed every 3 years
- All suspicions and allegations of inappropriate behaviour will be investigated
- Tactile teaching is necessary for progression in all dance forms, but unnecessary tactility is discouraged.
- The use of inappropriate language or suggestive comments is not permitted
Lafour - Pupil promise

Lafour will not knowingly publish names, ages , telephone numbers or addresses without parental consent
- Lafour will not request personal information from pupils under the age of 16 without parental consent
- Lafour pupils will be corrected on their dance/drama technique using a tactile approach, but unnecessary tactility is discouraged
- All suspicions and allegations of inappropriate behaviour will be investigated
- Lafour will gain parental permission before publishing any pupil pictures for marketing or promotional purposes
Lafour’s ‘Allegation of Abuse’ Procedure:
When there is an allegation of abuse from a pupil against a Lafour teacher, the following actions will be taken:

The parent and pupil will be informed that the allegation will be investigated
- Parents/pupil will be informed at each stage of the investigation
- The allegation will be documented and the necessary child care professionals/authorities will be informed
- Lafour will take advice regarding teacher monitoring/suspension and act accordingly
- Lafour will take appropriate action as advised by child care professionals.
