Millennium Sentinel

This is my first ever original orchestral piece which I wrote to personally mark the start of the new millennium. It took me 3 months to write and record this piece and scored for and played by 64 virtual musicians. Each musician's part was carefully arranged and played on a digital piano keyboard and recorded into my PC using Cakewalk Pro Audio 9 sequencing software and a Roland SC880 64 voice synthesizer sound module.

Although the piece in it's original form had an airing during the year 2000, I have now
edited and restructured the part and decided to donate it's use to Newbury College where I am webmaster. It will be used to help launch the new Newbury College which is due for completion in the autumn of 2002.

This musical piece is rousing and uplifting and proclaims the world's achievements, dreams and hopes as the clock ticks past midnight on December 31 1999 into the twenty first century.

The clip below is a midi file version. This will use the sound card of YOUR computer as the sound source and so will sound a little different to my original recording.
