Chris Barrow, Steve Marshall, Kate Sloan, Martin Lawrie, Humbie Bradley, Kev Dyson

Sloan formed after Kate Sloan and Chris Barrow who had previously got together to write songs teamed up with Kev Dyson to make a single One More Night which was directed by David Graves at Rock City in Shepperton Studios in January 1979..

Sloan were a band playing all original material with particularly strong vocals

Ian Hayter produced the the single and arranged the string parts. The single was aired on BBC Radio 2 at around 2am! The was subsequently a video done at Rock City a few weeks later but this was lost many years ago.

On the strength of this single Kate, Chris and Kev teamed up with Humbie Bradley on drums, Derek Perris on Bass and Martin Lawrie on keyboards. Several gigs were done around the Newbury and Thatcham area and several demo tapes were made.

Steve Marshall joined to replace Derek Perris during mid 1979. Steve also a flute player, brought a fourth vocalist to the band.

During the summer of 1980 the six-piece returned to Rock City at Shepperton to make a new single So In Love featuring the epic B-side Teller of Tales. Both tracks were produced by David Graves.

Martin Lawrie and Kev Dyson left the band in early 1981 and Kate, Steve, Chris and Humbie reformed as Prisoner.
