Terms and Conditions

Enquiries

All enquiries regarding dance classes should be directed to the Lafour Office. Click here to email or call 0845 602 3347.

Health Club Venues

Non-members are not permitted the use of club facilities other than the coffee/bar areas.

Personal Belongings

Lafour cannot be held responsible for the loss or damage of any personal items belonging to students participating in classes at any venue.

Jewellery

No watches/necklaces/bracelets/rings are to be worn in any dance class. Small ear studs are acceptable.

Uniform and Grooming

Lafour uniform must be worn. Long hair must be tied back off the face for Modern and Tap, and Theatre Club and worn in a bun for Ballet.

Supervision of Students

Children are the responsibility of their parent/guardian outside the dance studio and are to be supervised at all times.

The parent/guardian of a child under 4 years must be available during dance class time to accompany their child to the toilet if necessary. Lafour personnel are unable to leave the studio if a class is in progress and cannot allow children under 4 to visit the toilet unaccompanied.

Children aged 4+ will be permitted to visit the toilet unaccompanied during class time if the need is urgent. NB The parent/guardian is responsible for the welfare of their child/children outside the studio and not Lafour staff.

Behaviour

Students should conduct themselves in an acceptable manner at any Lafour venue.

Should a student repeatedly exhibit behaviour detrimental to the class, parents/guardians will be advised and the problem discussed. Should this behaviour continue with no improvement, Lafour reserves the right to exclude the student without refund of fees.

Registration

Lafour reserves the right to postpone registration if it is considered premature for the child to commence tuition.

Food

No food, drink, sweets or chewing gum is permitted in the studio during class.

Student Punctuality

Please line up 5 minutes before dance class commences. The Lafour Teacher will conduct students into the studio.

Open Days and Reports

At the end of each term, parents/guardians of all students are invited to watch the last class of term.

Annual reports are issued for all students (except 1st Steps students).

Photography of pupils

From time to time we take still and moving images of Lafour. These images are used as teaching aids and for promotional purposes by Lafour. In addition, any venues where our classes are held may use these images or their own for promotional purposes in consultation with Lafour. If you do not want your child to appear in these images please inform the Lafour teacher or the Lafour office.

Parents, grandparents, carers, family and friends who attend Lafour displays and shows take their own still and moving images as mementos of the occasion. Please note that restrictions may have to be imposed by Lafour if an objection is raised by any participant or audience member.

Tuition Periods

Lafour guarantees 33 tuition weeks per annum The tuition period coinsides with the school terms and therefore the number of weeks in any term may fluctuate from 10 to 12.

Term dates will be displayed on noticeboards, on this website and printed on invoices.

Payment

Lafour fees are due every term in advance. Two weeks before the end of each term you will be invoiced for the next term. There is a surcharge for all debit and credit card payments.

Fees

Fees are printed on invoices and are payable in advance. A 10% discount will apply for 3 family members or individuals taking 3 or more dance classes. This discount does not apply to any adult classes.

How to pay

Payments can be made by cash, cheque, credit/debit card or by standing order. (Standing order forms are printed on the bottom of the invoice). Please send payment to Lafour in a named sealed envelope, enclosing invoice slip (essential for cash payments) and write student name and class details on the back of cheques.

There is a surcharge for all dredit and debit card payments

Terms of Notice

Students wishing to leave Lafour are required to give a written half-term's notice to Lafour Head Office - or payment in lieu will be charged. The notice period only relates to term time and does not cover holiday periods.
