Spud Cox - bass guitar

Spud's (real name Tony) musical career has taken him on tour to Norway, Sweden, Denmark, Germany, Spain, Switzerland and France playing bass guitar with various professional groups. He has worked in the holiday resorts all over England during the summer seasons particularly along the south coast.

He was the bass player with the orchestra backing Lorna Luft (Judy Garlands daughter) during her Swedish tour in 1971. He was also bass player with the late Matt Monro.

Tony or 'Spud' to all of his friends, is an extremely capable and versatile musician and has been in great demand on the cabaret circuit, once being given the task of backing The Russion Cossack Dance TroupVery recently he has become a local radio star with his hysterically funny anecdotes of past band life.

On stage or off, Tony's wicked wit and dry sense of humour keeps everyone in fits of laughter and he is also a superb cook - indian curries being a great speciality of his and a big favourite of all the other band members.ing
