A thriving musical scene in Normandy, homeland to drummer David
Bouet, provided the opportunity for him to play with several bands
whilst at college. A growing interest in jazz, latin and African
music led him to Paris where he started freelancing and joined Zoopsie,
a big influence on the Paris funk scene in the early 90s. In '95
he moved to London for further studies at the London College of
Music. As well as completing his degree, he enjoyed a busy schedule
playing in festivals across the country, including Glastonbury,
Edinburgh Jazz Festival and the Borders Festival of Jazz and Blues.
